Agriculture department Zunheboto under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) scheme 2014-15 distributed various agricultural tools and implements to farmers free of cost.
At the distribution ceremony, the district agriculture officer (DAO) Zunheboto briefly highlighted the ongoing activities under RKVY scheme. He exhorted the beneficiaries to make full use of the scheme and reap benefits.
DAO also urged the farmers and beneficiaries to improve their crop production and productivity by judiciously adopting the appropriate technologies extended by the department under the RKVY scheme. Beneficiaries from cluster villages such as Satami, Xukhepu, Tichipami, Suruhuto, Kawoto and Ghathashi availed the items. Tools and implements included jumper, sprayer, shovel, spade, sickle, water can, pick-axe etc.
