The newly constructed Agri-link road and marketing shed under MGNREGA at Kezoma village under Kohima district was inaugurated on December 12.
Zadekhweto Zecho VDB secretary Kezoma in a release stated that District Rural Development Agencies (DRDA) project director Kohima Alemla J. Chishi in the presence of BDO, RD Block Jakhama, Khovi Thaprii inaugurated the new marketing shed and agri-link road during the occasion.
Alemla also graced the GPDP-Gram Sabha day at KVSU Hall, and lauded the VDB and village council in coordinating regarding the governance and developmental activities relating to the welfare and security of the people.
She also commented the transparency and activities which were done in an open way earning the people’s trust, and expressed her admiration of the village council hall double storey building which was in the process of completion.
Khovi in his address highlighted out the importance and significance of the day and further appreciated the community development, followed by intensive interaction on issues concerning the critical gap and major challenges face by the villagers were also discussed.
On the developmental front, the village chairman spoke on the evolution and progress of various establishments.
The programme highlight included a detailed project report of Agri-link road and marketing shed by VDB secretary and vote of thanks was delivered by head GB.
