AH&VS department informs poultry farmers

With a view to mitigate food security during the pandemic, the department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS) through NEC project has initiated promotion of backyard poultry farming in the state.

In a press release, AH&VS director, Dr. Budhi Lam informed that fast growing birds were reared in the department farm to cater the demand of poultry rearers. 

The current batch targeted for poultry farmers of the state is scheduled for sale and would begin from September 27. Interested farmers may contact 8974678993 to book their requirement during working hours (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.). 

Delivery would be done subject to district wise volume of demand.
