AH&VS Kohima informs on CSF

Director of AH&VS, Dr. Budhi Lama has informed piggery farmers to get their pigs (preferably breeding stock) vaccinated against Classical Swine Fever (CSF) as prevention before the onset of summer from the nearest veterinary institutes since this disease is endemic in Nagaland. Further, all chief veterinary officers have been  requested to collect the vaccination cost, CSF vaccine (1st phase) procured under CSF-CP – 2019-20 (CSS 90%) and CSF vaccine (2nd phase) procured under state plan-2019-20 from the directorate office during working hours.

Vaccination cost may be utilized for hiring of vehicle, procurement of vaccination tools, cottons, antiseptics, contingencies, working lunch etc.
UC and expenditure statement should be submitted to directorate office for record and vaccination may be carried out in “ring or cluster” depending on the “occurrence and epidemiological” pattern of the disease in respective district.
Due importance should be given in the border areas and stock routes.
