AI crash: Tata Group to provide Rs 1 cr to each victim’s family

MUMBAI, JUN 12 (AGENICES)

Tata Group chairman N Chandrasekaran announced Rs. 1 crore compensation for each family who lost a loved one in Thursday’s Air India plane crash near Ahmedabad.
The Group will also cover medical expenses of the injured and help rebuild the B J Medical College hostel hit in the crash.
“No words can adequately express the grief we feel at this moment. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones, and with those who have been injured,” Chandrasekaran said.
Air India CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson also expressed “deep sorrow” at the crash saying this is a “difficult day” for all at the airline.
