Dimapur District Congress Committee (DCC) has informed that AICC Observer Dr. Vijay Laxmi Sadho, senior leader from Madhya Pradesh, arrived on February 17, 2026, to review and strengthen party activities in Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland districts.
Dr. Sadho, who has served five terms as MLA, four times as Cabinet Minister, and once as Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, also held the post of AICC Secretary for a decade, reflecting her long-standing dedication to the Indian National Congress.
During her visit, she toured the three districts, held meetings with party leaders, frontal organizations, block committees, and grassroots workers. Accompanied by DCC president Kutoho Chishi and his team, she engaged directly with members to understand ground realities, organizational challenges, and strategies for strengthening the party at booth and district levels.
Her discipline and commitment inspired party workers to unite for the growth of the Congress in the region. Khriedi Theünuo, working president of NPCC and in-charge of Dimapur district, also held extensive discussions with Dr. Sadho on organizational strengthening, coordination among party units, and preparation for upcoming political challenges.
DCC expressed gratitude to Dr. Sadho for her valuable time and leadership, noting that her visit greatly motivated party workers and reinforced unity among Congress members across the three districts.
