All India Coordinated Research Project on Honeybees & Pollinators Centre at the School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), NU, Medziphema, Nagaland, bagged two awards at the annual group meeting-cum-workshop held from September 4-6 in Bangalore.
Emerging as the top performer among 26 participating centres across the nation, the Medziphema Centre was honored with the “Best Presenting Centre 2022-23” and “Best Reporting Centre 2022-23” awards. The achievement was historic for the Medziphema centre, as no centre had previously secured two awards simultaneously.
Notably, the centre was also the recipient of the “Best Reporting Centre” award for the year 2021-2022. Principal Investigator of AICRP on Honeybees and Pollinators, SAS, NU Medziphema campus, Dr. Avinash Chauhan received the awards.
The awards were presented by Dr. Sachin S. Suroshe, Project Coordinator-cum-member secretary ICAR, New Delhi, along with expert committee members and other dignitaries. Altogether, 26 centres from different parts of the country participated in the event.
Extending congratulations, Prof. Akali Sema, Pro Vice-Chancellor of SAS NU, Medziphema Campus, and Dr. Imtinaro L., Head of the Department of Entomology, lauded the AICRP Honeybees and Pollinators staff for their outstanding contributions and enhancing the university’s reputation.
