All India State Govt. Employee Federation (AISGEF) and Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers (CCGEW) at the joint national convention held at New Delhi called for scrapping National Pension System (NPS).
A press release by NNPSGSEF stated that under the aegis of CANSSEA, led by its president, Moanungsang from Nagaland National Pension System Government Service Employees Forum (NNPSGSEF) attended the convention.
The convention was called upon with various demands one of which was to “Annul PFRDA Act; Scrap NPS”. The convention stressed that it was “the bounden duty of Central/State Governments employees and teachers to fight against the disastrous NPS” and believed that the PFRDA Act can be repealed through consistent efforts in the coming months. Amongst other demands of the Convention was also to “Regularize all contractual employees.”
It was advocated at the Convention to “rise unitedly to fight for the demands and to work tirelessly for the defeat of the neo-liberal, communal and authoritarian dictums.”
