Aizawl FC embarks on Nagaland tour for peace and development

DIMAPUR, MAY 28 (NPN): Aizawl FC has set out on a 10-day tour of Nagaland as part of its mission Football for Peace & Development Initiatives. The programme is sponsored by the North Eastern Council, Shillong, in coordination with the Government of Nagaland, the Mon District Administration, Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and Nagaland United SC.
The team departed Aizawl on Thursday with the objective of promoting unity and development through football. Exhibition matches are scheduled to be held at Mon Town on June 2 and at Chumukedema/Dimapur on June 6. Both events are expected to be graced by the Chief Minister of Nagaland along with other VVIPs, underscoring the significance of the initiative.
Aizawl FC has dedicated the upcoming matches to the memory of Late William Koso, assistant coach of the club, in a gesture of respect and salutation. The dedication highlights the team’s commitment not only to the sport but also to honouring those who have contributed to its journey.
The tour emphasizes the club’s motto, “One Team. One Mission. For Peace & Development.”
