AKM serves ultimatum on DoSE over RMSA 2016 teachers’ issue

DIMAPUR, SEP 13 (NPN)

The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has issued a five-day ultimatum to the Department of School Education (DoSE), demanding immediate implementation of High Court and Supreme Court orders pertaining to the Nagaland RMSA teachers of the 2016 batch.
In a representation addressed to the principal director, School Education, AKM president Lanutoshi Aier and general secretary Satemmongba expressed serious concern over the prolonged delay in resolving the issue. The student body stated that the impasse has adversely affected the academic functioning of 133 government high schools and 367 teachers across the state.
AKM noted that the ongoing agitation by RMSA teachers in the state capital has created uncertainty and disrupted the educational environment, depriving students of their right to stable and quality education. The Conference urged the government to uphold both its legal and moral obligations by implementing the relevant court directives without further delay.
It further emphasized that the future of thousands of students hangs in the balance and called for urgent intervention from all stakeholders. AKM cautioned that failure to meet the demands within five days of receiving the letter would compel it to pursue alternative courses of action to safeguard the welfare of students. The student body also stated that the department would be held responsible for any consequences arising from inaction.
