Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has imposed indefinite shutdown on Jio Telecom service from July 29 until the company assures stable, consistent and uninterrupted service/network to its consumers.
A press release by Ao Students’ Conference vice president Yimjungsunep and assistant general secretary, Nangjenkala Tzudi stated that, this decision was made during the executive council meeting held on July 29. It stated that Ao Students’ Conference had given an open invitation to the Jio Telecom company to sign an agreement to shutdown Jio service until proper service/connectivity was restored. However, the company officials could not sign the agreement due to reasons best known to them, stated the release. In this regard, the Ao Students’ Conference has decided that, all Jio Telecom related services shall remain closed/shut until the concerned company assures uninterrupted service and start restoration work in full strength. It also stated that Ao Students’ Conference does not hold responsibility for any untoward incident against the company thereafter as the company has time and again failed to provide proper service/connectivity/network to the consumers. AKM stated that officers’ in-charge of Mokokchung district shall be held responsible.
Ao Students’ Conference shall vigilantly monitor till the restoration work is over and meanwhile has appealed all concerned citizens to cooperate and support the cause till the issue is resolved.
