AKTB cautions on employment fraud in Bengaluru

DIMAPUR: Ao Kaketshir Telungjem Bengaluru (AKTB) has cautioned Ao individuals planning to relocate to Bengaluru against increasing instances of fraudulent companies, employment scams and misconduct targeting job seekers in the city.
In a press release, AKTB urged individuals to exercise due caution and thoroughly verify the credentials, legitimacy and background of any company or organisation before accepting employment opportunities or making travel arrangements.
As per the AKTB Constitution, students and working professionals aged 34 years and below fall under its jurisdiction. The union therefore encouraged all eligible Ao individuals moving to Bengaluru to register with AKTB upon arrival. Registration, it stated, would enable the office to maintain contact and provide guidance, support and assistance whenever necessary.
AKTB further informed that its ability to provide assistance would be limited in cases where individuals had not registered with the union. It urged the community to remain vigilant, exercise sound judgement and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from potential fraud, exploitation or misconduct.
