AKTM on abduction

Asetkong Students’ Union (AKTM) has demanded the abductors of Kilensowa, a government employee and Sadem Ao, a former Tatar of NSCN (I-M), to  openly claim responsibility for the abduction in true Naga traditional spirit.
Condemning the abduction of the duo, both from Sungratsu village under Mokokchung district, AKTM in a press release said their whereabouts still remained a mystery since their abduction on April 20 last near Nagaland Gate, Diphu Road, Dimapur.
The union also said till date no group or individual have claimed responsibility for the “act of cowardice”, though various organizations have appealed for their safe release or to furnish information on the reason of their abduction or their whereabouts.
Pointing out to the constitution of a high power committee by the Governor of Nagaland, to enquire into the reported missing of six persons of Tangkhul community since May 14 from Vihokhu village, Dimapur, AKTM said it was unfortunate that the State government had done nothing in the abduction case of the two citizens belonging to the Ao community.  AKTM appealed the State government to take concrete steps to enquire into the nature, motive and group responsible for the abduction of Kilensowa and Sadem.
