Alam attends Natl Conference of CS

State chief secretary (CS), J. Alam along with senior state government officials attended the 3rd National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in New Delhi from December 27-29, 2023. According to DIPR report, the key focus of the conference, which was chaired by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, was on ‘Ease of Living.’ The three-day conference witnessed the participation of more than 200 people comprising of representatives of central government, chief secretaries and other senior officials of all States/UTs.


The conference deliberated on time-bound action plan to ensure better quality of life for both rural and urban population by better delivery of services. With special focus on easy access with quality in service delivery, discussions were held on health care, school education, drinking water, electricity and land records and building permissions.


Special sessions on Cyber Security, Aspirational Block and District Programme, Rationalisation of Schemes and New Age Technologies were held. Deliberations were also held on Drug De-addiction & Rehabilitation; Amrit Sarovar; Tourism Promotion; Branding & Role of States; and PM Vishwakarma Yojana & PM SVANidhi.


Other state officials who attended the conference included development commissioner of Nagaland, Ramakrishnan, principal secretary PHED, M Patton and principal director, school education, Thavaseelan K.
