DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, has issued a notice informing the public that the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, will conduct assessment and distribution camps under the Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) Scheme and the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) Scheme. The initiative will benefit needy Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities) and senior citizens aged 60 years and above across Kohima district.
The camps are scheduled to be held at Council Hall, Sechu Zubza on July 1; District Social Welfare Conference Hall, Kohima on July 2 and July 4; CDPO Office, Chiephobozou on July 3; and CDPO Office, Jakhama on July 6.
For the Assistance to Disabled Persons Scheme, beneficiaries are required to produce a UDID card or enrolment number, a medical disability certificate indicating 40 per cent disability or above, Aadhaar card, income certificate showing a monthly income not exceeding Rs. 22,500 or ration card, and two passport size photographs.
For the RVY Scheme, senior citizens aged 60 years and above must produce Aadhaar card, income certificate showing a monthly income not exceeding Rs. 15,000 or BPL ration card/proof of receiving pension, along with two passport size photographs.
Eligible beneficiaries have been requested to attend the camps with the necessary documents for availing the benefits.
