Casual presenters of All India Radio (AIR) Kohima comprising of Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam, Yimkhiung and Zeliang tribes have informed the public and responsible department that due to non-payment of wages for the past seven-nine months, the casual presenters had decided to boycott their duties indefinitely from December 11 until the issue was redressed.

In a press release, Dialect Casuals All India Radio Kohima expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the listeners and department and appealed to bear with them at this juncture.

It also sought for the intervention of the higher authority in order to continue contributing their service “in an unhindered manner”.
