The All Nagaland Adhoc Teachers Group 2015 batch (ANATG-2015) on Wednesday resolved to continue its democratic protest indefinitely until its demand for service regularisation is fulfilled, following a general meeting held at NSF Solidarity Park, Kohima.
The meeting was convened to deliberate on recent developments, particularly after the meeting called by the state government at the directorate of School Education on February 17, 2026. District-wise discussions were held, after which the Core Committee conducted polling of views and opinions before adopting the resolution.
In a press release, ANATG-2015 media cell stated that members have been submitting all necessary documents since 2024 as directed by the department for service regularisation. However, it noted that this was the third time some members were asked to submit the same documents, with the latest notification issued on February 16, 2026. The group questioned the status of documents that had already been submitted twice to the Directorate of School Education.
The meeting observed that certain documents– such as sanction post order numbers, appointment orders and release orders of previous incumbents– were reportedly untraceable. ANATG stated that these documents had been verified by the Department at the time of appointment. Members further informed that while attempting to trace the required records, they were told that many documents were incinerated when the Education Office was burnt during the ULB election protest. The group maintained that some members may not be in a position to reproduce such documents.
ANATG also referred to a certification issued by the principal director, School Education, on June 27, 2025, which stated: “The Department has verified and ensured that the details of all the contract and adhoc employees appointed prior to 06.06.2016 and against sanctioned post have been submitted.” The group sought clarity on the validation and credibility of this certification.
Further, ANATG cited a circular dated February 12, 2026, which instructed submission of three additional certificates, including the APAR for the last five years. The group stated that APAR has traditionally been maintained only for regular employees by the respective DEOs/SDEOs and not for adhoc teachers, and therefore members had not maintained such records.
The group listed eight circulars issued by the department for document submission, namely—circular dated May 28, 2024; May 31, 2024; June 6, 2024; January 20, 2025; April 16, 2025; June 18, 2025; February 12, 2026 and February 16, 2026.
ANATG stated that members had complied with all the above circulars by submitting valid and available service documents. However, it expressed concern that repeated circulars continued to be issued, including names of members who had already complied. The group further alleged mismanagement in handling the submitted files at the Department level.
In view of these developments, the general body unanimously decided to continue the protest indefinitely, with the possibility of further intensification to be decided collectively by the members.
