All Nagaland Taxi Association Wokha Unit adopts strict resolutions at AGM

DIMAPUR

All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Wokha Unit, at its annual general meeting held on November 22, 2025 at VDB Hall, Wokha town, resolved that no taxi under the unit would be allowed to carry prohibited items, engage in illegal activities, or operate under the influence of alcohol. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against offenders.
The house further barred private vehicles from operating as taxis, warning that violators would be penalised as per unit guidelines. It also decided that only taxis with government-approved routes or countersigned permits would be permitted to operate under the Wokha Unit. Reaffirming its stand, the unit reiterated the principle of “One Government, One Tax.”
Presenting the 2024–2025 annual report, general secretary Lipenthung Ovung highlighted activities undertaken during the year, followed by the annual financial report tabled by finance secretary R. Mhao Ezung. Copies of both reports were shared among members, and queries from attendees were addressed.
Among key resolutions, the house approved fuel reimbursement of up to Rs. 3,000 per financial year for the general secretary and finance secretary. It also reaffirmed strong support for Article 20(B)(2) of the ANTA Constitution.
ANTA Wokha Unit further announced plans to organise a Christmas Carol programme on December 14, 2025. Members were instructed to ensure all taxi documents remain updated to provide smooth and safe service to commuters.
