Alternative & innovation school inaugurated

‘Poor children who cannot afford to study further and drop out students should project their ethnic views, expressions and happiness of present life in this Alternative and Innovation School opened under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan programme’, said Bendangkokba, DC and Chairman, District Mission Authority Mokokchung, while inaugurating the Alternative and Innovation Schooling under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
The function was organized by Watsu Mungdang, the implementing agency of the Alternative and Innovation School at Baptist English School Campus on July 1. He also expressed his discontentment over the increasing number of school dropouts and uneducated children in the society.
He however, praised the Watsu Mungdang’s effort for promoting reading among poor children in this scheme under SSA programme.
During the programme, special prayer was offered for the school by Literature and Education Secretary, Ao Baptist Churches Association (ABAM), Rev. C. Walu Walling. DEO Mokokchung and Baptist English School alumni also exhorted the gathering. The function was attended by the members of Ao Senden, Ao Students Conference, and Watsu Mungdang, Church members, Village Council members and government officials.
