‘An attitudinal change can build peace’

Peace Channel an emerging peace youth movement was inaugurated officially at MGM Hr. Sec. School, with Rev. Fr. George Varghese, Principal of MGM Hr. Sec. School as the Chief Guest.
In his inaugural speech, Rev. Fr. Varghese said we must be thankful to God who gave peace to all as His gift.
He exhorted the youth to change their attitude for building peace. It begins by doing service to all irrespective of age, beauty, tribe, color, religion. He also asked the youth to respect the elders of the society. He encouraged the Peace Club members for their initiative to form peace clubs in the school and its impact is going to be experienced by our society. The youth have to come together often to pray for peace in our Nagaland.
Meanwhile, Sr. Irene thanked the school authorities and the students for initiating and flagging off the Peace Channel in the school, while Peter, Animator of MGM Hr. Sec. School proposed vote of thanks.
Altogether, 30 members took the peace pledge.
