ANA holds 4th conference

The 4th Conference of Association of Nagaland Architects (ANA) was held at Noune Resort, Chumoukedima, on July 27. A press release by ANA informed that the conference was graced by Jwenga Seb, MLA, who, as an architect himself, emphasized architecture as noble profession with vital role in creating sustainable and aesthetically pleasing environments.


Delivering the keynote address, Richard Belho, a renowned advocate for bamboo architecture, underscored versatility and sustainability of bamboo as building material and shared insights on how bamboo architecture can be a viable solution for state’s construction needs, promoting eco-friendly practices while leveraging local resources.


He also spoke passionately on economic benefits of fostering robust local economy and stressed importance of cultivating strong work culture that values efficiency, innovation, and ethical practices.
The conference also witnessed election of new executive members, where Apokla Jamir was elected as president and Khriebu as general secretary, amongst others. The release further stated that the gathering for the architectural community in Nagaland was marked by insightful discussions, and presentations.
