Anakiyimsen Baptist Church has celebrated silver jubilee from Janaury 16 – 18 on the theme ‘Liberty through Christ.’ The main speakers on the celebration were executive secretary ABAM, Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger and the Missionary, Cross Road International, Olem Jamir.
MLA & Chairman NBDA & NPCB, Amenba Yaden, who was to be the chief guest on the occasion, sent his greetings where he congratulated the Church on its 25 years of existence and called upon the gathering to retrospect on how God has blessed the village and thanked God for bringing the people thus far. He mentioned that jubilee is a time for forgiveness and to surge ahead to the future with optimism, dedication and hard work.
Executive secretary ABAM, Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger, in his discourses, shared about how the society has changed through the arrival of Dr. Clark. He attributed the progress made by the Nagas, especially the Aos, to the introduction of Christianity by the American missionaries and urged upon all concerned to move forward while keeping their humble origins in mind.
Missionary of Cross Road International, Olem Jamir, also spoke on moving forward with Christ, duties of the church towards the society and walking in the footprints of Christ. Alemla Yaden and L Nukshi Jamir conducted the Jubilee celebrations.
