ANAPSA and DYRS to hold sepak takraw tournament

DIMAPUR, JUN 21 (NPN)

All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association- Central (ANPSA), in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, has announced that it is organizing its first ever State Level Sepak Takraw Tournament for U -14 boys and girls for the private schools of Nagaland. 16 winning teams at the District Level will play the finals which will be held in Kohima later this year. Altogether 64 schools from 13 districts have registered for the tournament.
In preparation for the tournament, the Department will be giving training to the Coach Teachers of the registered schools.
The first phase of the training will start on June 24 for Dimapur, Chumoukedima and Niulad, and thereafter for the other Districts.
ANPSA- Central is represented by Bithungo Kikon, ex officio advisor as the liaison officer, and Asituo, vice principal, Greenwood Hr. Sec. School and Ketoulhou Sekhose, gen. secy, ANPSA Dimapur as the liaison members to the DYRS.
All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association- Central Central has also expressed gratitude to the Department of Youth Resources and Sports for partnering with the Association in this endeavour.
