All Nagaland Ad-Hoc Teachers Group (ANATG) 2015 batch has set May 11 as deadline to the state government, demanding regularization of service.
In a letter to the chief minister, ANATG president, Rüguotsolie and assistant general secretary, Tosoyol Sothü warned that if their demand was not fulfilled, they will abstain from work and start exercising their fundamental rights in the form of protests and agitations. It also warned to take its own course of action and if any unwarranted situation, ANATG shall not be held responsible.
It reminded the chief minister that the 1166 members had been rendering their services with utmost dedication for the past 8-9 years, appointed under regular/sanctioned posts on ad-hoc basis with meagre fixed salary, making it difficult to let their ends meet.
All Nagaland Ad-Hoc Teachers Group said the Education department was aware that the members had fulfilled all criteria, terms and conditions by taking required professional training, suitability test on May 20 2017 etc. and got the clearance from the P&AR department. However, the members were yet to get cabinet approval.
