Reminding that present ad hoc employees under school education department were entitled to get regularization as per P&AR office memorandum dated August 4, 2008, the All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers’ Union 2013 (ANATU ’13) has sought the intervention of the chief minister into the matter at the earliest for the welfare of the students, teachers and the department as a whole.
In an appeal to the state chief minister, ANATU president Neipetso Lomi and vice president Thepfuneilie Khezhie while highlighting some of their grievances stated that they had appeared suitability test and have fulfilled all the criteria laid down by the P & AR office memo for regularization of contract/ad hoc ATANU also reminded that screening committee for regularisation of contract/ad hoc employees under the chairmanship of chief secretary has recommended service regularisation of this group of employees on November 5, 2015. The union also highlighted the financial benefits that teachers were losing.
Further, stating that the union had submitted several representations seeking for service regularization to the government, the union, however, stated that reply from the concerned officials were only verbal assurances, adding that they cannot anymore adhere to official’s verbal assurance.
Meanwhile, ATNAU stated that they would be compelled “to show our strong resentment in a democratic means” until their demands were met and cautioned that the state government would be held solely responsible if any untoward incidents arose out of it.
