ANCDPOA holds 30th AGM at Kohima

DIMAPUR: The All Nagaland Child Development Project Officer’s Association (ANCDPOA) held its 30th annual general meeting at Highland Park, Kohima, under the motto “Unity, Dexterity and Service” on June 19.
Speaking as special guest during the first session, director of Social Welfare, Tosheli Zhimomi, reminded officers that the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) mission was dedicated to children—the future of the nation. She said CDPOs were investing in the prosperity, health and strength of children, touching lives and bringing hope.
Tosheli stressed that leadership is not measured merely by authority but by the ability to inspire and empower others through dedication and hard work. She added that the mission could become a movement extending beyond children to adolescents. Lauding officers for their sincere efforts despite challenges, she urged them to shine with innovation, teamwork and sportsmanship. With the advancement of IT, she called for harnessing technology, strengthening monitoring mechanisms and promoting community participation. She emphasised empowering Anganwadi workers—the frontline workers—through continuous guidance, training and encouragement, and ensuring every Anganwadi centre becomes a vibrant learning hub.
Earlier, ANCDPOA president L. Nikuto Chishi, in his keynote address, said the association had grown due to its strong foundation and unity among members, which had brought many changes.
The programme was led by general secretary Meyalemla Ao, with invocation by vice president R. Chirhotshu Nyusou, and words of gratitude by CDPO Tening, Chotangse Sangtam.
