ANCSU collegiate meet underway in Dmu

The inaugural function of the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) collegiate meet was held on October 17 at Sakus Mission College, Dimapur with former chairman of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Y Vikheho Awomi as introductory guest.
In a press release, ANCSU Nagaland stated that in his speech, Vikheho Awomi exhorted the students to explore the essential qualities required to be a responsible person for a better society and use it wisely to achieve greater things in life.
Describing the students as “the soul of every society”, he urged upon the students to explore the various doors of opportunities made available to them.
Awomi also challenged the ANCSU and the student community to take up social responsibilities and duties to enable a robust Naga society.
The introductory programme was chaired by ANCSU speaker Topeka Yepthomi, SMC alumni Sunep Lemtur presented a special number, mission secretary of Light in the 10/40 window ministry Mughaholi Yepthomi offered invocation, SMC chairman Yanger Aier delivered welcome address while a special number was presented by Runole Tep.
Later, SMCSU president Wangkem Konyak offered benediction. Altogether, 31 affiliated colleges are participating in the five-day event.
