ANCSU condemns burglaries in colleges

DIMAPUR, JUL 1 (NPN)

All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has strongly condemned the “repeated burglary” by Kekietuo Solo, main accused in the Kohima Municipal Council heist and other incidents.
ANCSU president Tenyesinlo Bukh and general secretary Kivinoka A Sema said the accused also stole from Baptist College Kohima- Rs. 45 lakh, Oriental College Kohima- Rs. 35,000 and Kohima College Kohima- Rs. 3 lakh. ANCSU said his “act of crime and unethical conduct”, especially in educational institutions, stood in stark opposition to the value of trust, honour and integrity that the union holds.
The union stated that such behaviour has created an environment of fear and disturbance within the college fraternity, leading to panic and suspicion that such incidents could recur. ANCSU lauded the police for upholding their motto– “Security, Service, Sacrifice” and apprehending the accused. It expressed hope that the law enforcing agency would leave no stone unturned in awarding befitting punishment to the culprit.
