ANCSU urges appointment of Nagaland Public Service Commission chairman, members

DIMAPUR

All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) has sought the state government’s urgent intervention in ensuring the immediate appointment of the chairman and members of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC).
In a representation addressed to the chief secretary, ANCSU president Kivika Yeptho and general secretary Sotilo Tep stated that the chairman and members of NPSC had vacated the office on September 13, 2025. ANCSU said absence of the chairman and members has hindered the normal functioning of the office in upholding efficiency and accountability in public service recruitment.
The union stated that prolonged vacancies in the post of chairman and members had created backlash in upholding transparency and meritocracy in public services.
Maintaining that there was no valid reason in delaying the appointment of NPSC chairman and members, the ANCSU has, appealed the chief secretary to initiate and expedite the issuance of the official notification and immediately.
