All Nagaland Field Staff Association (ANFSA) PHED, Dimapur unit has appealed to the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to regularise the service of eligible employees at the earliest as per the Office Memorandum (OM) dated March 17, 2015.
In a press release, ANFSA Dimapur unit president Kari Temjen and secretary Visuto Tepa cautioned that department’s failure to regularise service, the association would have no option but seek legal remedy under the relevant sections of law.
According to ANFSA unit, the OM clearly states that “all existing work-charged and casual employees of various departments who are enjoying scale pay and who have completed 30 years or more continuous service as on January 1, 2015 would be regularised by conversion of their post into regular ones personal to them and subject to fulfilment of conditions…”
However, the unit alleged that PHE department has been delaying implementation of OM citing various reasons from time to time.
It stated that in the past two years the department has been withholding the matter on the pretext of Covid-19 pandemic. ANFSA unit has urged the responsible authority to regularise the service “as the pandemic is now over”.
