Anganwadi workers trained on ECCE and nutrition

Altogether 26 Anganwadi workers were trained on the effective implementation of early childhood care and education (ECCE) and nutritional challenges for children at the training program held on April 3 and 4, 2025, at the CDPO office, Asuto Project, Zunheboto.

The program was designed to strengthen the capacity of Anganwadi workers in implementing effective ECCE and address nutritional challenges for children in their formative years.

In a press release CDPO Asuto, Erenbeni informed that the training emphasized personal hygiene and sanitation for both children and caregivers to prevent infections and promote a healthier learning environment.

The training was led by resource persons including poshan Bhi Padhan Bhi, Block Coordinator of Poshan, Hino N. Awomi, ICDS Project Asuto, Supervisor, Asuto Kheto K. Sumi, and ICDS Asuto, CDPO, Erenbeni Kikon.

They shared insights on the importance of a weekly play-based calendar for ECCE, focusing on interactive learning to boost cognitive and social development in children.
