All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU), Kohima unit has appealed to the school education department to release the four-month pending salary of 2012-13 appointed Hindi teachers’ salaries are not been paid from the month of march 2021 to June 2021. In a press release, ANHTU Kohima unit general secretary, Nelson Yhokha stated that the teachers without the salary were facing “untold hardship” as most of them were posted out of their hometowns and made their living in debt. The union has therefore appealed to the responsible authority to intervene and release the pending salaries at the earliest.
