All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) has resolved to extend the ultimatum served on the department of school education (DoSE) till March 7, to release nine months pending salaries.
This was resolved at an emergency meeting of ANHTU office bearers with CSS Hindi teachers district representative on February 28, 2017. In a joint press release, ANHTU president, Rometo Sema, and CSS Hindi teachers convenor, Ilika Aye, cautioned that failure to fulfil its demand within the stipulated time would compel the union to launch phase-wise agitation by 1379 CSS Hindi teachers.
The union said it had on January 24, 2017 served ultimatum on the director, DoSE to release CSS Hindi teachers nine months pending salaries on or before February 10, 2017, but the department failed to fulfil its demand till date. Meanwhile, all the district CSS Hindi teacher representatives have been requested to prepare for agitation.
