ANKA conducts karate refereeand judges seminar in Dimapur

DIMAPUR, JUN 28 (NPN): The All Nagaland Karate‑Do Association (ANKA) organized a two‑day Karate Referee and Judges Seminar on June 27 and 28 at Logdrum Higher Secondary School, Sangtamtilla, Dimapur. The seminar aimed to update referees, judges, instructors and senior karate practitioners on the latest World Karate Federation (WKF) Rules and regulations, enhancing technical knowledge, officiating standards and practical skills for the smooth conduct of karate competitions in Nagaland.
The sessions were conducted by WKF judge, KIO treasurer and ISKF chief, Shihan Bankim Mutum Singh, who holds a 7th Dan Black Belt. The programme was hosted under the mentorship of ISKF India president and ANKA president, Shihan T. Sangtam, with support from working president of ANKA, Sensei T. Lanu Imchen and technical director, Thsathriba Sangtam.
The seminar provided participants with updated insights into international karate officiating standards, ensuring that Nagaland’s referees and judges remain aligned with global practices. ANKA emphasized that such initiatives are crucial for raising the quality of competitions in the state and for preparing officials to handle events at both national and international levels.
