Another ambush in Mnp leaves one dead

IMPHAL, MAY 13 (NPN): In yet another ambush incident in violence-hit Manipur, one person was killed while his wife sustained bullet injuries after suspected militants opened fire on their vehicle late Wednesday evening. The incident occurred along the Old Cachar Road connecting Imphal with Khoupum in Noney district, near Joujangtek area.
According to reports, the couple was returning to their village from Imphal when suspected militants ambushed their vehicle.
The deceased was identified as Wilson Thanga of Dolang village. He died on the spot, while his wife sustained bullet injuries in the attack. The latest incident occurred only hours after another ambush in Kangpokpi district in which three persons were killed.
