All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) on Wednesday, came out in support of ‘Shiksha Bachao Abhiyan (Save Education Campaign)’ which is being organised by National Independent Private (Performing) Schools’ Alliance (NISA) at Ramlila ground in New Delhi on April 7, 2018.
In a press release, ANPSA president, Bithungo Kikon, and general secretary, Nini Sekhose, stated that the campaign was to sensitise the government of India and the Prime Minister of India regarding the current problems faced by private schools all over the country. NISA will be presenting a charter of demands to the prime minister on April 7, 2018 “for saving education in our country.” The demands were listed as Fund students not schools, Autonomy to schools, Governance model and Safety concerns.
All stakeholders have been requested to gather in huge numbers at Ramlila Maidan on April 7 to make the ‘Save Education Campaign’ a huge success for the Right to Education of Choice in India. NISA is an alliance of independent budget private (performing) schools. About 60,000 schools all over the country are affiliated to NISA including ANPSA.
