ANPSA central holds 43rd annual general body meet

DIMAPUR

The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Central held its 43rd Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM) on October 16 at NBCC Platinum Hall, Kohima, under the theme “From Challenges to Opportunities: Reimagining Education for the Next Generation”. Director of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland, Kethosituo Sekhose, graced the occasion as the special guest.
Kethosituo Sekhose commended the role of private schools in contributing to the country’s high literacy rate and acknowledged their active participation in the inaugural Catch Them Young U-14 State Level Sepak Takraw tournament. He encouraged greater collaboration between schools and parents to enhance student participation across disciplines.
The keynote session, moderated by joint secretary Abalie Medoze, commenced with a welcome address by ANPSA Central president Nini Sekhose, who also presented the association’s annual achievements. Treasurer Leneno Y Disong delivered the financial report, while secretary P. J. Nathan presented the secretary’s report.
Senior advisor Phelhoupfelie Kesezie, in his report on behalf of the Search Committee, announced the new team of office bearers for the 2026–2028 term. Bithungo Kikon will lead the team as president, with members including Rev. Fr. Jacob Charalel, Ketholuo Sekhose, Zhopota Rhakho, Nzanbeni Tsopoe, Benisha Keppen, and P. J. Nathan. Advisors for the new term include Nini Sekhose, Phelhoupfelie Kesezie, and Imlongchaba.
Addressing the gathering on the theme, Nini Sekhose highlighted the pressing challenges faced by private schools and urged members to transform these into opportunities for the betterment of the student community.
In the second session, chaired by the outgoing president, the incoming president extended a warm welcome to the special guest and expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the new leadership.
The meeting concluded with a prayer of blessing by vice president of ANPSA Central, Rev. Fr. Jacob Charalel, and a closing prayer pronounced by advisor Imlongchaba.
A total of 70 members representing 12 districts attended the AGBM.
