The 25th anniversary celebrations of All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) Dimapur unit concluded on November 4 with a colourful and extravagant function held at the Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School’s auditorium.
A press release from the information desk of ANPSA Dimapur unit stated that its president, Dr. Andrew Ahoto, spoke on the essence of giving rather than receiving. He also expressed his profound gratitude to all the founding members including K. Terhuja and Fr. T.O. Sebastian for laying a strong foundation for the subsequent generations of ANPSA leaders to emulate. According to him, leaders, especially school administrators, should give more emphasis to the seeds from which an apple tree grows rather than the seeds inside an apple. Dr. Ahoto also opined that there should exist healthy competition among private schools so that everyone learns from each other.
Various other dignitaries and heads of schools spoke on the occasion including K. Terhuja, founder president of ANPSA Dimapur unit and a veteran educationist.
All the heads of ANPSA member schools along with ANPSA central executive members, Dimapur unit executive members, veteran members and distinguished invitees and family members attended the program.
The program began with an invocation prayer offered by the principal of Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School, Fr. Philip Magh. A variety of colourful song and dance items were presented by students of member schools from all over Dimapur. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the principal of Great Commission Hr. Sec. School, Elizabeth Dozo, and a benediction pronounced by principal of Assisi Hr. Sec. School, Sr. Benny Fernandez.
