All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA) NBSE unit, Dimapur, organised a quarter singing competition at Holy Cross higher secondary school (HCHSS) auditorium on Saturday. Chief guest of the event, ANPSA Central Sr. advisor, Pheluopfelie Kesiezie, spoke on the importance of unity and quoted a message by Arthur Ashe which highlights the simple things like happiness, trials, sorrows, failure, success and faith.
The event was graced by HCHSS Chairman Rev. Fr. John PM, and ANPSA NBSE unit Dimapur president, Bithungo Kikon, ANPSA central President, Nini Sekhose ANPSA Central General Secy. PJ Nathan and other dignitaries.
The judges for the competition were Kinimi School of Music director, Kalino Vikato Kinimi, Kuda Baptist Church music director, Aroko Nagi, and Town Baptist Church music director, Vizho Thakro.
A total of 14 schools participated and Footprints Academy emerged as the winner, Cornerstone Hr. Sec. School and Little Star Hr. Sec. School bagged the second and third place respectively, thus giving a ticket to the winning school to represent Dimapur district at the state level Quartet singing competition which will be held at Kohima on October17. The program was also enlightened with a special choreography presented by Community Education Centre School, Dimapur after which ended with a benediction by Paoboisei Haolai.
