ANPSTA holds change of guard

DIMAPUR

All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers’ Association (ANPSTA) held its ceremonial “change of guard” cum general meeting on May 31 at Kohima.
In a press release, ANPSTA president Lemchemong and general secretary Chalievi-I Dahou informed that during the programme, Lemchemong assumed office as president, Hitova Murumi as VP, Chalievi-i Dahou as general secretary, Noksung as finance secretary, and Imnasenla Jamir as information and media secretary for the 2025–27 tenure in the presence of all members and unit representatives.
The newly elected president, in his speech, highlighted the injustice faced by D.El.Ed trainees, stating that nine years have passed without a single PT post advertisement due to excessive backdoor appointments. The association assured that the team will fight through democratic means until their demands are met.
The program was chaired by Lemchemong, a prayer was offered by Anenla Longchar, and outgoing president Yaviu Metha delivered a short speech, while Botika Sumi, advisor to ANPSTA, declared the names of the new executives.
