ANSTA Dmr appeals

All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), Dimapur, has appealed the department concerned to extend the duration of summer vacation for all government schools in the district.
Citing reasons for the appeal, the vice-president, Viho, G. Swu, of the association in a press release stated that as compared to other districts, government schools in Dimapur starts their school calendar early and also due to the extreme climatic condition in summer, students’ attendance are adversely affected at the same time added that ‘poor or no’ electrification and lack of drinking water facilities for the students were some of the hindrances.
Meanwhile, the association has assured the department that since the academic session begins early, the calendar would not affect in covering the syllabus meant to be covered in one session for which the association it has appealed the department concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
