ANTA urges end to taxation

All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has appealed the administration and police enforcement to intervene and stop illegal tax collection at various check gates between Dimapur and Imphal.
ANTA alleged that inter-state taxi plying between Dimapur and Imphal are paying huge amount of illegal tax at various check gates to police, narcotic cell, excise department and different illegal union which is hampering the livelihood of owners, drivers and passengers in general.
ANTA president Tohozhe and the action convener, Atoho Kinny, have urged the administration and police enforcement to intervene and stop illegal tax collection by various department and illegal unions immediately. The Union has further cautioned to take its own course of action if the concerned district administration police fail to take action into the prevailing situation.
