ANTF Dismantles ₹4.5 Crore Inter-State Drug Syndicate in Delhi-NCR

In a major crackdown on narcotics trafficking, the Delhi Police Crime Branch’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has dismantled a sophisticated inter-state network involved in the illegal distribution of psychotropic substances. The operation, triggered by intelligence regarding a consignment in northeast Delhi, led to the arrest of four individuals—Nitin Pathak, Prem Singh Yadav, Shalu Kumar, and Sanjay Singh—alongside the apprehension of a juvenile. Police seized a massive haul of Alprazolam and Tramadol tablets and capsules weighing over 5 kg in total, with an estimated black market value exceeding ₹4.5 crore. Investigations revealed that the accused leveraged their backgrounds in the pharmaceutical industry and retail to exploit supply chains, illegally procuring and distributing prescription drugs across the Delhi-NCR region to capitalize on high profit margins.
