‘Anti-Adulteration Drive 2025’ in Mokokchung

As part of the Nationwide Special Festive Drive by the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for the upcoming Holi festival, the Food Safety Team (Enforcement & Food Safety on Wheels) of Mokokchung Zone, led by Food Safety Officer, Sukumlo Yanthan, conducted the “Holi- Anti-Adulteration Drive 2025” on March 13, 2025, at the MMC Marketing Complex.


During the drive, on -the-spot testing was carried out on food items such as milk, ghee, edible oil, butter, rasgulla, and gulab jamun to check for adulteration, as the demand for these products rises significantly during festive seasons.


In another programme, Food Safety Administration, Kohima Zone, conducted an online licensing and registration camp for Food Business Operators (FBOs) on March 11 and 12 at Sokhriezie Market, Kohima, and Tseminyu Town.

In a press release Food Safety Administration, Kohima Zone, Designated Officer, Kezhangulie Yimchunger informed that students of Government High School, Tseminyu, were also educated through demonstrations on how to detect food adulterations.
