Anti-Malaria Month observed across Peren district

The Anti-Malaria Month 2025 campaign under the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), was concluded in Peren district with various awareness and outreach activities.
Organised by the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Peren, the month-long campaign was held under the theme “Test, Treat, Track,” focusing on early detection and prevention of malaria and other vector-borne diseases.
District Vector Borne Disease Consultant, Vimekhrie-u Metsieo informed that coordinated activities were carried out across the district by health workers, ASHAs and the NVBDCP team. Awareness drives and screening camps were conducted in twenty schools, including GHSS Ahthibung, GHS Bonkholong, GMS Gaili, Chwang School Samzuiram, GHS Mhainamtsi, Christ the King School Nkialwa, GPS Mpai Old, among others.
Students were sensitised on malaria transmission, elimination strategies and precautions against other vector-borne diseases.
