Ao bodies relax ongoingagitation for three days

DIMAPUR, NOV 3 (NPN): Ao organisations have allowed a three-day relaxation in the ongoing agitation (closure of chief medical officer’s office Mokokchung) to facilitate child immunisation and medication from November 5-7, 2026.
The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the Ao Senden, All Ward Union Mokokchung Town (AWUMT), Watsü Mungdang, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) and Ao Lanur Telungjem (ALT) at Aor Kilem.
In a joint letter to DC Mokokchung, the five organisations said the relaxation was granted on humanitarian grounds.
The organisations also resolved that all detachment and joining reports must be completed by November 13, following the 14-day period provided under the October 30 notification (No. MED-3A/1/2006(PT)/696) for completion of the handing and taking over process.
The organisations warned that the agitation would be intensified after a public rally in Mokokchung town on November 16 if the requirements were not fulfilled.
