Ao bodies warn social media users

Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD), Kohima Aor Telongjem (KAT), Ao Senso Telongjem Chumukedima (ASTC) and Ao Union Medziphema (AUM) have warned that a strong action would be initiated against any person indulging and making comments or statements against Ao community and its organizations on social media. In a joint press release, ASTD president Subu Jamir, KAT president Er. Talituba Sanglir, ASTC president Dr. Imtionen and AUM president Limakumzuk said they have come across some derogatory and demeaning remarks against the Ao Senden and its endorsed organizations such as the NTC, CNTC over its formation and functioning by some person in the social media. Further, they cautioned against misleading or creating confusion without knowing the ground reality. In case of any doubts, one should approach respective organisations “to clear the same and not resort to such callous remarks which will invite strong penalty.”
