Ao community in Signal Angami village, Dimapur, revived the tradition of festival social work ahead of Tsüngremmung on July 30. Volunteers cleared drainage, cut weeds, and removed garbage to promote community responsibility alongside celebration. Once central to Ao festivals like Moatsü and Tsüngremmung, such collective efforts ensured clean paths to fields and wells. The initiative aims to correct the growing notion of festivals as only feasting, reminding youth that true celebration blends work, unity and joy.
