Ao Senden holds meeting at Tuli

Ao Senden on Monday called for a meeting at Tuli Town with the three land owners of Tuli (Merangkong, Kangtsung and Wameken) and Tuli Town All Ward Union with regard to ULB elections.
Addressing the press after their return Monday evening, the Senden expressed regret informed that out of the three village councils, only Wameken council attended the meeting. At the meeting, the Senden said all the concerned issues were discussed at length. 
The Senden was informed that the two candidates for the Tuli Town Council polls from Wameken lika area, who were yet to resign, would be made to resign for which the Wameken council assured to take necessary steps. 
In this regard, the Senden expressed gratitude to the Wameken council. 
Meanwhile, the Ao Senden has decided to withdraw the proposed bandh in Mokokchung district from Tuesday as a result of the state government’s decision to defer the civic body elections.
The Senden has expresses gratitude to various villages under Mokokchung district, denizens from different wards, students and youth organizations for extending their support for the rights of the Nagas.
