Ao Senden has decided to initiate action against any Ao citizen(s) who had filed nomination papers for the civic polls by excommunicating them from the tribe whether in Mokokchung district or other district(s).
This was disclosed by Senden officials while talking to media persons after the end of the day-long enforcement of the vigil at the DC’s office Mokokchung district Friday.
Senden Official said action would be implemented after January 17,2017 when date for withdrawal of nomination will be over. Senden will also continue to enforce vigil in the DC’s office till the last date for filing of nomination(January 7,2017).
There was no report of any incident during the Senden vigil in and around the office.
NOMINATIONS: According to reports, six candidates filed their nomination papers as NPF for Mangkolemba Town Council. This was confirmed by ADC Mangkolemba Wapang Aier. He said the list includes five male and one female candidate out of nine wards.
